Yoga & Creative Wellbeing Retreat
FAQs
I’m new to yoga; can I still join?
Absolutely! Each practice will offer accessible options for beginners and stronger variations for more experienced practitioners. This retreat blends movement and personal development so you’ll enjoy some variety in our itinerary. At the same time, this is your retreat, so you can always decide for yourself if you want to take it easier one day, to skip an activity completely, or to go all in and challenge yourself through it all!
What type of personal development will you offer?
Raisa and Jennifer will guide you through creative exercises to dive deep into your new year’s intentions and discover how you can live in better alignment with your authentic self.
From Raisa’s years of experience mentoring designers and building communities in and out of the workplace, she is thrilled to bring you a well-rounded program that integrates wellbeing techniques to keep work balanced, sustainable, and maybe even a little fun.
With Jen’s background in psychology and behavioral change, her teachings are grounded in science and proven across hundreds of individuals. Known for creating a safe space, Jen’s calming presence will help you find the answers within yourself.
Can I expense the costs with my employer?
Considering the educational and self-development aspect of the program, you may qualify for partial reimbursement if your employer offers funding for personal education. If you are a freelancer in the yoga/wellness space, you can also claim the costs against your earnings, along with a VAT refund with your tax reporting.
How do I get there?
The closest airport is AGP (Malaga), which has many direct flights from Amsterdam, London, and other major European cities! As previous participants liked to be flexible with arrivals/departures, we have excluded airport transfer from the costs. You can choose easily to take an Uber or rent a car for further exploration in your free time.
What if I’d like to extend my stay in the area?
Great idea! We love spending time in Nerja and the surrounding area, and will gladly share further recommendations or connections on where to stay and what to do. If you’d like to maximise your relaxation or remote working at the retreat venue, we recommend booking the “Cowork & Chill” add-on for the best value and extended time with your new connections.
What is there to do during the free time?
Between the scheduled yoga sessions and workshops, we encourage you to take some time to slow down and relax at the spacious gardens, pool, and common rooms of Casa Lavanda. But when you need a change of scenery, we are just steps away from the town center of Nerja. We’re just a 10-minute walk to Playa Burriana, where you can SUP, kayak, swim, or lay on the beach.
What food will be served at the retreat?
We’ll sit together for daily brunch after our active morning practice and enjoy group dinners after our calming yin/restorative practice. We’ll take you out for one lunch and one dinner out in town, to enjoy Nerja’s local food culture. Light breakfast options will be available in the morning for those who want to enjoy a small bite at their own pace, as well as snacks, water, and coffee available throughout the day.
The Cowork and Chill option will consist of lighter programming, with simple daily lunches and the same light breakfast options.
What does the Cowork & Chill program look like?
After the main retreat, the optional Wednesday through Sunday is for those who want to extend their stay at their own pace. We’ll still offer you daily morning yoga, along with simple daily lunches and light breakfast options. For the rest of the day, you’re welcome to work remotely with our fast wi-fi, explore Nerja and nearby towns, or simply relax at the casa.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
Casa Lavanda is equipped with brand new Manduka mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters for your practice. Leave your mat and props behind to travel light!
What is included in the retreat costs?
Pricing is based on your chosen room, and all pricing options include daily meals, all practices/workshops, bathroom amenities, use of pool/gardens/facilities, use of mats/props. See above for details on the lighter “Cowork & Chill” programming.
Flights and airport transfers are not included in the program costs and should be booked individually. However, we are happy to share recommendations and answer any questions as you book your travels.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Upon acceptance into the program, we only ask for a deposit of €480 to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due 5 weeks before the retreat start, by December 5th. If you need more flexibility with your payment, please reach out to info@navayoga.io.
Where can I practice with you locally before the retreat?
